Their Journey Doesn’t End at Graduation
Our Graduate Support Program, GSP, follows every student, providing support and guidance through high school, college and beyond.
The Journey Continues
High School Visits and Support
Graduate Support follows each student in high school, receiving their grades grades in real-time so they can provide support and assistance to overcome hurdles of high school. Graduate Support is in regular contact with students and visits each graduate at least two times each year at school.
Preparing for College
Graduate Support offers all alumni support and assistance as they transition from high school to college or other post-secondary training program or trade school. The program offers group college tours, free SAT prep classes and tutoring, application assistance, and hosts a FAFSA night for parents and graduates, walking them through the application online. In addition, we help graduates explore other options and connect with alumni in the military or have pursued other career paths that did not include immediate enrollment in college.
Career Counseling
As Academic alumni prepare for life after college, we offer graduates support through networking, internship opportunities and mentorship.
The Journey Often LEads them “Home”
A Call or Reservation Isn’t Necessary
The Academy is a second home to many of our alumni, a welcoming and supportive place. During any given week, it is not unusual to have one or more alums pop by to say, “hi!” Formally, we offer graduates of all ages activities to help them stay connected to the school and their brothers, as well as provide an alternative and safe place to hang out during school breaks.
Giving Back (Or Paying It Forward)
In addition to coming by for a casual visit, graduates return to share stories of their own journey at events, speak to students on Career Day, work as camp counselors, and volunteer. In 2018, in honor of our 25th Anniversary, 25% of alumni made a financial gift of support. Over 100 alumni and former faculty attended our first ever Alumni Reunion in 2022. Currently, 78% of our alumni follow us on social media, two are involved at the board level, and eight graduates are current faculty.
