The Academy is Now Accepting Applications for Students Entering 5th Grade in the 2020-2021 School Year

 


The Process

The Admissions process consists of four steps:
1. Attend one of our Admissions Open House events at the Academy
2. Submit your completed Admissions Application by Friday, February 21, 2020
3. Eligible students applicants attend JumpStart, a multi-week Saturday program
4. Accept! Accepted Applicants will be informed of Admission decisions by late spring and will begin their journey at the Academy in July 2020

The admissions process begins with a visit to the Academy. Join us for an Open House where you and your student will take a tour, meet faculty, learn more about the Academy and the admissions process, and have an opportunity to ask questions and meet some current Academy parents. Open House events are a great opportunity for parents/guardians to learn about our academic program and our graduates’ successful path to high school graduation and college.

Applications for the 2020-2021 school year are due by Friday, February 21, 2020

Applicants may use one of the following application forms:

  • online application form

  • printable application packet

In addition to a completed admissions application, applicants should submit the following required forms by the application deadline (unless otherwise noted).

  • Completed Income Eligibility Form

  • Copy of parent/guardian’s completed 2018 Federal Income Tax Form 1040

  • Copy of parent/guardian’s completed 2019 Federal Income Tax Form 1040 (due April 15, 2020)

  • Copy of student’s birth certificate

  • Copy of student’s immunization record

  • Copy of legal guardianship documents or custody agreements (if applicable)

  • Supplemental Forms including the student’s report cards, grades and recommendation forms.

  • A parent/guardian and student interview (to be scheduled)

After the interview process and review of applications, eligible student candidates will be invited to attend the JumpStart Program every Saturday for five weeks, during which they will take a language arts and math class in addition to playing games and participating in activities. The JumpStart program is required and enables Academy faculty to assess each student’s needs, and provides prospective students and parents an opportunity to experience the Academy’s education structure and expectations.

The JumpStart program takes place every Saturday from February 29 through April 4, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. NOTE: There will be no JumpStart on Saturday, March 21, 2020.
