AdmissionS Process
Step One - Visit the Academy
Please join us for an Admissions Open House! You will have an opportunity to tour the Academy, meet faculty, students, current parents and alumni, and learn about the admissions process, expectations and programs. Parents/Guardians and their students are encouraged to attend.
Our next Admissions Open House is Saturday, February 22nd at 10:00 AM. You can register through our Admissions Portal.
Parents/Guardians can join us for an Admissions Info Session & Tour on select mornings. You will have an opportunity to learn more about the Academy and see our students and faculty in action during your tour.
Please complete an Admissions Inquiry and schedule your visit online through our Admissions Portal.
Step Two - Submit an Application
Complete an Admissions Application through our online Admissions Portal and request the additional educational documents from your child’s school by submitting a paper form or submit an electronic request through your checklist on the Admissions Portal. Once your completed Application is received and reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an Admissions’ Family Interview with an admissions representative for us to get to know your family, student and learn more about your educational goals.

Step Three - Send a Release Form to Your Student’s School and Submit Additional Information
Complete the additional required forms found on your Admissions Parent Portal account. These forms are confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Academy.
Supplemental Documents from your student’s school including the student’s report cards, testing results, and grades. Click here to print a Release Form to submit to your student’s school OR submit an electronic request through your checklist on the Admissions Portal.
Student Report Cards from the previous school year and the current school year. Please be sure the report card includes teacher comments, grades, and attendance records.
Standardized Test Reports should be detailed reports (not summary). Click here to see a sample of report.
Copy of parent/guardian’s completed 2023 and 2024 Federal Income Tax Form 1040 (please contact James Scott if you do not file taxes)
Copy of students IEP or 504 plan and any educational assessments or tests that were given to inform the educational needs of the student (if applicable). Please note that a student’s IEP/504 plan will be reviewed to be sure the Academy can best serve the student and does not automatically exclude a student from admission.
A Math Teacher Recommendation and a Reading/English Teacher Recommendation Form. Please make sure a different teacher completes each form. These forms can be sent directly from your Admissions checklist in the Admissions Portal. Please be sure and submit a Release Form to your student’s school.
Your student may only be offered a conditional acceptance until all of the forms have been completed and submitted. The information enables us to best serve your student and make sure eligibility requirements are met. All forms and documents can be uploaded to your student’s record through the Admissions Parent Portal.

Step Four - Attend JumpStart and Schedule an Interview
Applicants will be invited to attend JumpStart, a half-day session on a Saturday where students will work in small groups with teachers and participate in activities. JumpStart gives us the opportunity to get to know your student in the school setting and learn more about him.
Applicants and their parents will also be invited to an interview with a member of the Admissions Team. Interviews are usually conducted via Zoom and last about an hour. Parents and/or guardians are interviewed separately from the student applicant.
Important DeadlineS and Dates
Please check below for important application deadline dates. Admission acceptance decisions will be made on a rolling basis. There are only 30 spaces available for the 2025-2026 5th grade class. If there is space available, eligible 6th grade applicants will be offered a space once the admissions process has been completed and he has completed a shadow day.

Admission Open Houses
Regardless of where you are in the Admissions process, we hope you will join us at one of our in-person Admission Open Houses! You will get an opportunity to see the Academy, meet teachers, learn more about our academic, summer and Graduate Support programs and have an opportunity to ask questions of our Admissions team, faculty, current students, parents and graduates!

Admission interviews may be conducted via video conferencing or in-person.
All applicants are required to submit a completed Admissions Application and required documents found on your admissions checklist in order to be considered for Admissions.
All forms submitted through the admissions process are confidential and are solely used to evaluate a student for admissions and for income eligibility purposes.
Spaces are limited and applicants are encourage to complete an application and submit requested materials as quickly as possible.
